The Little Duckling

I had a little gold duckling that only I could see
I had a little golf duckling that was always there for me
I had a little gold duckling short and stout
Who was loud but would never make a sound

I had a little gold duckling that only I could see
When dad would shout and mum would scream
He’d whisper in my ear ‘take my wing and let us fly upon a dream’
Through clear blue skies and over pale blue oceans

I had a little gold duckling, I wonder where he went
I had a little gold duckling, I miss him so
Dad still shouts and mum still screams but I have nowhere to go…
